Progress Component: Time

This tab contains information of time spent to the execution of current step.

Time log entries show the following data:

  • A person that logged a time (1)
  • (optionally) Comment to time log (2)
  • Date what time has been logged for (3)
  • Number of hours logged (4)
  • Report type that indicates if logged hours are billable or not (5)

Time log entry can be edited (6) or deleted (7) by author or permitted user.

Times logged are summarized at the bottom of tab:

  • Total billable hours (9)
  • Total non-billable hours (10)

Also, there are some other data shown:

  • Estimated Step Time calculated by system based on step duration (11)
  • Variance (12) - difference between Estimated Step Time and Total Billable hours

 

To log a time user should click a "+" button (8). The proper form will be shown (13). It will have the following fields:

  • Task (Step) name (14), which is read-only (just to know which step time is being logged for)
  • Report Date (15) that must be populated
  • Report Time (16) that is required too
  • Report Type (17, optional) - used to show if time spent should be billable or not
  • Comment (18, optional)

When user clicks "Edit" icon (6), the same form will be shown with Report data pre-populated.

System will not allow user to save Report Date later than today.

Reports (Time log entries) are stored in the step when user proceeds / approves / rejects it first time, or any other recurrent time; also, reports will be kept if uesr restarts a branch containing that step.

Reports will be lost if user restarts the current process instance (workflow).
