Progress Component: Assignee
In this tab user can manage step assignment.
Tab has the following parts:
- Assignment switcher buttons (1, see below).
- "Assigned To" section (2) offers ways to select assignees.
- "Managed By" section (3) allow to select an instance manager (selection fields are the same as for assignee).
- "Assign to me" button (4) changes assignee to current user.
- "Save" button (5) saves changes. If it is not disabled, this indicates that something has been changed and needs save. A red asterisk indicates this too (8).
Note: "Assign to me" button is shown only if task is assigned to group of users (several users, some group. role, profile, etc).
Assignment switcher buttons (1) allow to select how to set new assignees:
- Standard button makes "Assigned To" section show a combined lookup field that allows to select Assignee type (6) and a particular assignee (7) of selected type:
The following assignee types are available to select here: User, Group, Queue, Role and Profile. See the proper article for a description of existing assignee types and their properties.
- System button makes step automatic:
- Custom button offers an input field where user can paste Assignee ID or comma-separated list of IDs:
Note: in spite this looks like a way to select assignees of different types together, an error message will be shown if you do this. Assignees of different types should not be combined.
