Process Details - Process Instance States Chart (for release 7.0)

The Process Instance States chart displays metrics for all Instances of the current Process Version within the selected period, grouped by their current state. Hovering your cursor over a bar displays the actual value.

Instances may be grouped into the following States:

  • Started (1) - All instances that have a Start Date within the selected period.
    Clicking on this bar will display the Instances tab for the current process version, where entries shown will be filtered by the following criteria:
Start Date is equal to:
  from %first day 12:00 AM of selected period%
  to %last day 11:59 PM of selected period%
  • In Progress (2) - All active instances that are or were active within selected period.
    Clicking on this bar will display the Instances tab for the current process version, where entries shown will be filtered by the following criteria:
Active = true
AND
(Completed = false OR Completed Date >= %first day 12:00 AM of selected period%)
AND
Start Date < %last day 11:59 PM of selected period%
  • Completed (3) - All instances that were completed within the selected period.
    Clicking on this bar will display the Instances tab for the current process version, where entries shown will be filtered by the following criteria:
Completed = true
AND
Completed Date is equal to:
  from %first day 12:00 AM of selected period%
  to %last day 11:59 PM of selected period%
  • Deactivated (4) - All inactive instances that were deactivated within the selected period.
    Clicking on this bar will display the Instances tab for current process version, where entries shown will be filtered by the following criteria:
Active = false
AND
Activation/Deactivation Date is equal to:
  from %first day 12:00 AM of selected period%
  to %last day 11:59 PM of selected period%

States may overlap - e.g., the same Instance can be accounted for in both the Started and In Progress metrics.

Click the "Hint" button (5) to display some brief information about this chart.

Click the "Expand" button (6) to expand the chart to full browser window size. This can be useful when the chart contains lot of data or when presenting information. In the expanded state, the "Collapse" button will be displayed instead:

If the Process has no started instances, or no instances match selected period, this chart will display a "There is no data" message.
