Build a Flow from a Project Plan

Overview

Projects are a quick way to create a flow by simply creating a nested list of tasks, by either entering them  manually or by importing them from MS Project.

Create a new project

Click on the Utilities tab, and select Projects, and then click on New.

Tasks

Tasks

Enter tasks as needed.

  1. Each task becomes a step in the low.
  2. Each resource becomes a responsibility in the flow.
  3. Precedence determines the sequence of the flow.

MS Project (Optional)

MS Project (Optional)

Alternatively, import a project from MS Project to get your list of tasks.

Resources

Assign a resource to each task. This is the same as Responsibility in the flow.

Durations

Assign a duration to each task.

Save

Save the project template.

Create flow

Click Create Flow.

Give the flow a name and assign it to an object.

Flow tab

The system will generate the flow. Click on the Flow tab to find the new flow. You can now enter Flow functionality as needed.

Notes

Once the flow is created, it is no longer connected to the Project Template it was generated from.

You can generate a Gantt chart from the Flow, and make adjustments to durations. These changes will update the Flow.
