Making Multi Page Form (a Wizard or Tabbed Form)

User can create a form that is rendered as a wizard (a multi page form).   From the release 8.4 this type of form is also can be represented as a tabbed form.

To convert single page form to multi page form do the following:

1. Click on the form title on the form builder (1).

2. Check "Multi Page Form?" checkbox (2).

From the release 8.4 there will be one more field: a "Mode" picklist with "Wizard" and "Tabs" options.

Selecting mode will make no visual changes in the form builder, but will change the form behavior (see below).

By default one new page is being added:

3. Add or remove pages if necessary (3).

4. Edit default page names (4).

5. Reorder pages by dragging, if necessary (5).

6. Switch between pages (6) and add at least one section (7, required) and form items/components to each page.

6. Save your changes

7. Run the form. You will see buttons (8, 9) that will go through form pages:

From the release 8.4   if user have selected "Tabs" mode, the form will be displayed not as wizard, bit will have pages distributed in tabs, that will be shown in the same order, as wizard pages.

Too long tab labels will be cut, and if there will be too many tabs, last of them will be combined into "More" menu (10):

User can switch between tabs directly and there is no "back"/"next" buttons. No more differences between wizard and tabbed forms are.
