Additional Fields
You can use context object lookup values in the various form setting such as condition styles, option groups, related list actions using additional fields data. Using additional fields you can get lookup values up to 3rd level of nesting.
Below is example setup demonstrating adding of additional field and displaying it on the form. Form in the example is tied to Account object.
- Open your form. Click "Tools" menu and select "Fields" option to open popup (3):
- On "Fields" popup select lookup fields (4). Click "Add Field" button (5):
- Click "Save" button (6) and then "Save" the form (7):
Additional field stores email of a user who was last modifying Parent Account record linked to the Account.
Add Static Text element to the form:
- Switch to "Items" subtab (8) on the left panel
- Expand "Options" section (9) and drag "Static Text" element (10) to the form
Select new field from the context menu (11) and update text value of "Static Text" field:
- Select created new field (12) and copy Merge Field value (13)
- Paste it to the "Text" input (14) on "Static Text" settings section and
- Provide field "Title" (15)
Save the form and run it. Email is displayed on the form.
