Resource Attributes

Attributes are properties of any Resource. They are similar to Object fields. They can be used in conditions when configuring Resource Pools.

Attributes are defined as separate objects and they can be added to Resources as related objects. This is a way to make attributes set dynamic for each Resource; if make Attributes fields of Resource object, they will be set to each Resource, even if not needed.

Resource Attributes can have the following data types:

  • Picklist - an array of pre-defined values, that must be configured when Attribute is created or edited.
  • Checkbox - represents logical true or false value.
  • String - some short text.
  • Numeric - some integer value.
  • Date - any date.
  • DateTime - any date with time.
  • Tag - a set of short text values represented as tag list.

To make a new Attribute go to proper subtab and:

  • Click "New" button (1) to open popup (2).
  • Enter Attribute name (3). If do not enter a name, a Salesforce ID will be assigned as a name.
  • Select Attribute Type (4). All types except Picklist will do not require any more actions and you can save an Attribute.
  • If Attribute Type is set to Picklist, a Picklist Value section will appear (5). Type option values into field (6) add them with button (7), rearrange with buttons (8) and delete with button (9). You can't edit added option, so delete it and re-add instead.
  • Save Attribute (10).
