Step has these User Interface settings:

Step Layout Type

By default displays details for Data Source object record process has been started at. Layout and it's settings can be set different for particular steps in the proper way:

Smart Step Settings

Process Details section of Progress Component contains several tabs depending on access type that should be configured:

Access Type can be:

  • All users - by default all these tabs will be displayed to all users.
  • None - proper tab will not be displayed at all. E.g., if you plan do not use Custom Data Fields, you can hide proper tab.
  • Assignee Only - only assignee (those people/user/role/profile which step has been assigned to), will see that tab.
  • Assignee/Manager/Admin - tab will be visible to assignee, process manager and admins.
  • Custom - tab will be visible to custom users, profiles and roles, specified in the proper configuration popup.
  • Assignee/Custom - tab will be visible to assignee and also to custom users, profiles and roles, specified in the proper configuration popup.

To configure Custom access type select a "Custom" option in Access Type picklist. A proper popup will be shown:

Click "Add" links to search and add necessary entities. Select them and click "Add" button:

Added entities will be shown in the popup. You can delete unnecessary by clicking "x" icon:

Highlighted fields

They are additional fields of Data Source Object record that will be displayed on "General" tab of Progress Component, "General" tab of Kanban Card sidebar, step details at Planning Dashboard and Progress Dashboard.

Click "add" link  to open "Field Search" popup. Select necessary fields and click "Add" button. After popup close, remove unnecessary fields from the list by clicking "Delete" button ("x" ixon) and change order of fields shown by moving them by clicking arrow buttons:

KanBan Card Settings

These settings applicable only to mobile version of the Task Manager.

They configure displaying of several elements on kanban card depending on which fields are selected with checkboxes.
